Supporting Local Student-Athletes!
The Foundation works with local Utah high schools to create scholarships for high school senior student-athletes. We award a male and female student with the awards.

A Message from our 2025/2026 Scholarship Recipients!!
Receiving the Thomas J, Bryson Memorial scholarship has been a blessing for me. It will help me pay for my tuition at BYU as I pursue the next step in my education. Thomas Bryson is about the age of one of my brothers, and my first thought when I read the application was of my brother. It reminded me how fragile life is. Thank you for remembering and renewing the memory of Thomas J. Bryson in such a powerful and empowering way.

In college I plan on getting my BSN degree, followed by nursing school to become a Nurse Practitioner and as most know, college is expensive, and I understand that it is a huge investment in my life. I would like to be able to make the most of this investment by focusing on school and the path that I am choosing to be on. To be able to do this I have to pay for college and a huge part of my finances are going to be supported by scholarships like this. I have made it a personal goal to not have any debt or student loans after graduating, and this scholarship would help me to achieve that goal. This scholarship is going to play a big role in helping me pay for my college and one day I hope to be able to pay it back through my work as a Nurse Practitioner.

Receiving the Thomas J, Bryson Memorial scholarship will truly take a lot of stress out of college. Getting through college avoiding debt is one of my biggest goals as I know how expensive school can get, but having to stress working a lot of crazy hours can be very difficult as well. This scholarship will help me focus more on my academics and less on having to work a lot. I am proud to receive this scholarship in memory of Mr. Bryson and hope to have half as much impact as it sounds like he had!

This scholarship will help me to be able to give back to my community by helping me reach my goals so I can go back and help kids in this community reach the same goals just like this foundation does. It will also help me get to my dream job and really help me and put me ahead in schooling abilities because of this. I've always known that when I grow up, I want to help people and make the world a better place to live in. As of right now, I'm planning to become a social worker and adoption advocate, while also doing humanitarian aid on the side. I've been given valuable opportunities and privileges in my life, so it's only fair that I do my best to make the most of them. This scholarship will benefit me as I choose to continue my education in social work, improve my knowledge of the world, and build on the skills I've learned. With this scholarship, I will have the privilege to relieve some financial stress and provide myself with the ability to continue serving in my community.

I am so grateful for the Thomas J Bryson memorial foundation and the scholarship I received from them. It has given me a financial boost that will help me accomplish my goals for the future. I plan to attend BYU in the fall and patriciate in the ballet program while pursuing a degree in business. As I begin college, this scholarship will give me the ability to put forth my best efforts. I will be able to avoid student debt and focus on my studies. The higher education it is helping pay for will enable me to add something to my community and give back to those around me.
