Receiving the Thomas J, Bryson Memorial scholarship has been a blessing for me. It will help me pay for my tuition at BYU as I pursue the next step in my education. Thomas Bryson is about the age of one of my brothers, and my first thought when I read the application was of my brother. It reminded me how fragile life is. Thank you for remembering and renewing the memory of Thomas J. Bryson in such a powerful and empowering way.

In college I plan on getting my BSN degree, followed by nursing school to become a Nurse Practitioner and as most know, college is expensive, and I understand that it is a huge investment in my life. I would like to be able to make the most of this investment by focusing on school and the path that I am choosing to be on. To be able to do this I have to pay for college and a huge part of my finances are going to be supported by scholarships like this. I have made it a personal goal to not have any debt or student loans after graduating, and this scholarship would help me to achieve that goal. This scholarship is going to play a big role in helping me pay for my college and one day I hope to be able to pay it back through my work as a Nurse Practitioner.
